"My students are speaking at the pep assemblies, council meetings, and reporting to classroom, so I wanted to start with that.  We've gone over some of the "notes" on communication, and we started researching some of the speeches from the website suggested in the book.  I put together a handout to fill out while they watched/listened to the speeches, and we'll tie that into the speech they are going to write and present."

It gave me a chance to teach multiples Essentials; Vision, Fostering Relationships and Masterful Communication, along with how to appropriately introduce a guest speaker. The kids loved it. We closed with discussing how you arrive at the introduction you just heard about yourself. It was powerful."
